Oil paintings 2

I recently painted  in oil again and hope to get more productive with the medium.

Here are two small still-lifes, 'Handmade Pot with Brazil Nuts' and 'Paperback with Moomin Toy'.

I have some empty antique frames that I'd like to fill with paintings, here's the first, it's about 3 feet long, a landscape featuring Llyn Gwynant in Wales...

Speed paint

A while back we started speed-painting during lunchtimes at work, we'd have a theme and paint something within a couple of hours.  Here are some of mine...

Doodles

Rocking-horses are nice, I wonder if rocking-other-things would be cool?

A fat demon guy etc...

Sculpture

Ooh, lovely clay... here are some sculptures I made from mud...

A sketch.

A portrait of my friend Althea.

A study.

Swing chair

When I was younger we had a swing chair in our garden and I spent many happy hours on it during the summer months.  I missed that old thing so I thought I'd make one for my current garden.

There's a flowering cherry tree in the centre of the lawn which I noticed had a couple of suitably positioned branches from which I might suspend a swing chair, if I were to make one.  So I drew up some designs and planned the construction of a two-seater swinging bench.

I don't have a workshop so I cobbled this thing together in the spare bedroom, the hallway and the garden. It was a bit tricky but it came together in the end...

Life drawing

I've just returned to life-drawing after a bit of a break, I'll post some new stuff as soon as I do anything worth showing!  In the meantime, here's something I prepared earlier :-)
